Conversion Battle of Religions

Board Game Design
Project Overview
Conversion Battle of Religions is a board game derived from an idea I had in high school. The concept is pretty straightforward: each player represents a religion vying for control over The Divine Archipelago, a collection of islands ripe for control. The project involved planning and desigining the board game, creating the art and assets for it in Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop, and Tabletop Simulator, formalizing rules and structures, and then testing the game out extensively with friends and family.
Notable Parts of Project
The board game project was a long-term project of mine over the course of 2020-2021. The game has an official rule set, granted still subject to change, and a collection of over 50 unique cards of several types, as well as a handful of units, player boards, and a full map board. The game can be played either in 2 player (teams) mode or 4 player FFA.

Sun rises on the Divine Archipelago. The people are bright, happy folk but there is something truly missing from their daily lives, something that even bright, happy folk need to get by in their day to day lives: religion. You and other competitors see this collections of islands as ripe for religious expansion but as a founder of a new religion, you wish for these people to be under your folds, and only yours.

Create a religion, give it a name, choose its most basic beliefs and tenets, and then spread your influence with the use of missionaries, templars, priests and build powerful structures to expand your faith. Fight with neighboring religions for control, assassinate their prophets, and establish your religions as the one true faith of the archipelago.
